SHARKtoberFest Party
Friday, October 16, 2009 6:30pm - 10:00pm

Party with live sharks from San Francisco Bay while you enjoy live music, yummy food/drink and more.

The evening features a presentation of the first annual SharkSaver award to Sherman’s Lagoon cartoonist Jim Toomey, performances by the Ukulele Friends Ohana Hawaiian Strings Band,  hosted hors d’oeuvres, beer, wine and a silent auction.

Toomey will be onsite to receive the award, recognizing the important role that he has played in increasing the public’s awareness for issues facing sharks, including shark finning.

This festive fundraiser will benefit Aquarium of the Bay's shark research and education programs.

Online ticket sales have closed, but you can still buy your ticket at the event.

Silent auction items include Whale Watch Tours to the Farallones Islands, Membership to the Bay Athletic Club, Coastal Ocean magazine subscription and shark book package, a Bay Cruise on The Lovely Martha, subscription to Bay Nature,  a Sea Trek kayak tour, gift packages from Patagonia, a Sevengill shark painting by Jules Barkely and much more.

A special thank you to our SHARKtoberFest Party partner, Sea Stewards, and other community supporters and sponsors:
