Celebrate your child’s birthday with sharks, bat rays and sea stars as your special guests. Aquarium of the Bay offers special event opportunities and party packages for birthday boys and girls, turning 2 - or 102!
Choose from four different birthday party options for your special day:

Option#1 Birthday Party Group Tour Packages
For groups of 10 or more, you can take advantage of special rates on general admission for the Aquarium. You can also customize your tour with additional options such as a guided tour, behind-the-scenes tour and special rates for Aquarium combination packages.

Option #2: Themed Children’s Birthday Parties
Enjoy the wonders of the marine life of the San Francisco Bay with a themed Birthday Party, complete with games and crafts led by an interpretive naturalist, and your own decorated private event room. Aquarium of the Bay offers themed birthday parties for children turning age 2 to 12 years old.
Parties include:
- Ocean-themed room decorations and birthday-themed plates, cups and napkins
- Hands-on, age appropriate activities lead by the trained naturalist
- Aquarium admission for party guests
- A gift for the birthday boy or girl.
To request a reservation, please fill out the Birthday Party Request Form. You will be contacted within 48 hours of submission to confirm available dates and times.
Option #3: Children's Sleep with the Sharks Slumber Parties
The Aquarium’s one-of-a-kind Sleep with the Sharks sleepovers that are a great way to celebrate your child’s birthday (appropriate for children ages 6-17). For more information about the Aquarium’s sleepover programs, please visit the Sleepovers page.
