For groups that only have a short time to visit, a self-guided Aquarium tour is the best option. Self-guided tours are flexible and give your group an awe-inspiring look at the life of San Francisco Bay. To enhance your tour, check out our self-guided Estuary Exploration Guides below.
Program Length: 45 minutes to 1 hour
Times Offered: Self-Guided Tours are only available on Mondays and Fridays and are spaced 20 minutes apart throughout the day starting at 10:00 AM.
Number of Participants: Limit of 35 students and a maximum of 10 Adult Chaperones per tour. Mandatory requirement: one (1) adult chaperone to five (5) students. Groups larger than 45 participants will be split into smaller groups and tour start times will be scheduled in adjacent time slots or the closest available time slots.
Please Note: bay.org’s Aquarium of the Bay, Sea Lion Center and BayMobile free education programs are available to all K-12 school groups from the 9 Bay Area counties (Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano and Sonoma).
