Join Gills Club at Aquarium of the Bay—a FREE, hands-on STEM program designed to spark curiosity about sharks and inspire confidence in science. While Gills Club especially encourages girls to explore STEM, all kids are welcome.
Gills Club is an initiative of the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy, with chapters across the globe.

What to Expect
Each Gills Club meeting:
- Focuses on a new shark-related STEM topic
- Includes interactive, hands-on activities
- Highlights a different female shark scientist
- Encourages curiosity, collaboration, and confidence
No prior experience is needed—kids can attend one session or multiple.
Ages & Capacity
- Recommended Ages: 8–13
- Capacity: 30* Gills members per session
(*Parents or guardians may attend but do not count toward capacity.)
