Newly Hatched Baby Wolf Eels at Aquarium of the Bay

The eels we are surplusing to various other AZA accredited institutions were born in July of 2018. The parents have been in our care for a number of years. The male was captive born and surplused to us in a very similar fashion from another aquarium (somewhere in the 6-8 years ago range but those records are now offsite and not as easy accessed), and the female was wild caught 3 years ago.

As of today, we have surplused 53 animals in total to 4 different institutions.
